  • Functions:
    • Provides Resources: Gives us the air, water, and food we need to live. 
    • Sustains Life: Provides the natural elements for the birth, growth, and survival of life. 
    • Assimilates Waste: Helps in breaking down and disposing of waste products. 
  • Importance:
    • Home to All: The environment is the home and habitat for all living things. 
    • Influences Health: The quality of the environment directly impacts the health and well-being of individuals and communities
